Inspired by my lovely new garden planters I've gone out and bought more for my garden and over the last couple of days I've been gardening for hours and so my legs & arms are sore & worn-out from lugging heavy bags of earth & big ceramic pots around.

The 6 weeks since this my Peacock Pearl Box was launched as a pattern have flown-by but I'm delighted to say that its sales (and some extra fund-raising on Facebook) have so far raised over £500 which I'm sharing between The Trussell Trust and Refuge both of whom are sadly having to work harder...

I used to be bead in big & bold colours but then over the past few years (I can directly track this back to Miyuki bringing out their gorgeous Duracoat beads!) I've worked in more muted colours & metallics.

I often advise people to make sure they add in a new thread when beginning a new section on their beadwork so that if they have to undo anything they can do that without ruining what has already happened. But I don't always do it myself...
