Taking Stock

I'm feeling like all my recent ideas are going nowhere and am having one of those 'I am rubbish at everything' moments. Added to that noticing that the year is half gone and I feel I have got nothing done and my mood is not good.

Then I remembered that I had set myself resolutions this year and my frown got even bigger.

But the sun is out and I want to snap out of it so rather than just brood about it all, I actually sat and read the resolutions and then went through my blog to see if I had got anywhere near half-completeing them.

I am pleased to say the results were much better than expected and whilst my current 'beader's block' is getting me down, I am more hopeful, now I have seen the evidence, that it's only temporary and I'm not ready to be put out to pasture just yet.

So, in 2011 I planned to:

1- Bead a new piece of beadwork each month
To me this means a new piece of beadwork finished and of my own design and the result is...yes! If you'd have asked me I would have said no, but going through my blog I have made a lot more than I remembered.

2- Send out 12 newsletters
Oops, no. But this was only because of a technical problem with the company who hosts my website so I am giving myself a tick for that.

3- Launch 4 new kits
Well, just one so far but hoping to launch 2 more in July.

4- Write up 4 new sets of instructions
Yes! So far this year I have launched:

5- Learn how to use my snazzy new camera
Hmm, perhaps the less said about this the better! I am terrified of my snazzy camera but need to get to grips with it. I guess that's what I'll be doing for the next 6 months then! But I have been learning about photo taking in general and slowly working up to scary camera so not all bad.
