About Jean Power

I'm a jewellery designer, writer and teacher based in London, England.

I first began making jewellery in 2001, having already spent many years painting as well as exploring different aspects of fibre and textile arts. Whilst I continue some of these interests, mainly felt making, temari and embroidery - beading, wirework and chain maille are my main love and I try to use them in conjunction with my other interests.

As well as many projects and articles published worldwide, I have co-authored two books, and I'm the editor of Bead magazine. I also have a range of patterns and instructions available on both this website and bead-patterns.com. Please see here for more details.

I teach regular project or technique based workshops in London - see here for dates. Unfortunately due to lack of time I no longer regularly visit bead groups or shops to teach. However, on occasion I can still do this. Please contact me if you are interested in having me visit.

If you live in, or are planning to visit London, why not visit my other website Beading in London for more information.
