80 Plus Beaded Beads Later

...and my new necklace is all done.

I am really pleased with this, and especially love how all the pieces slot together and look like arrows or dragon scales.

If you remember this began with an 'urban skyline' colour scheme and since then I have stuck to using mainly greys, silvers and lilacs. But two days ago I decided to add in some 'teals' and I'm glad I did as it adds an extra dimension which I like.

The finished necklace uses 71 beaded beads but there are also a few others using completely different colours to add extra colour just as you can see in any skyline. See my 'London skyline' photo on this page for example. These additional beaded beads also change shape and size to add extra textural interest. Because these are beaded beads threaded on and not permamently joined you can really mix it up when you wear it.

This project will be published in a book out in 2012, as soon as I know more I'll let you know.
