Crashing Waves Pattern

This 30-page advanced pattern for this striking necklace shows you how to use geometric beading combine with different bead sizes to create a textured Star pendant which hangs on a Cubic Right-Angle Weave (CRAW) rope (full stitch instructions are included) with matching beaded fastening.

The swirling & undulating design on the Star (which is approximately 8cm/ 3 inches from point-to-point across the middle) is inspired by crashing waves & sea foam whilst the rope is beaded in sand colours and its shape is inspired by the sand dunes I walk on in Cornwall.

This is an advanced pattern and you need to know Peyote Stitch.

Included within the instructions is the full information on the entire project including:

  • how to bead Distorted Squares
  • How to create a beaded Star
  • How to bead CRAW
  • How to bead a s-hook clasp using CRAW

A full requirements list is included but the general requirements are:

  • Size 11 Cylinder beads e.g. Delicas, Aikos or Treasures
  • Size 15, 11, 8 and 6 seed beads

All tutorials contain full instructions and tips as well as check lists for all tools, materials & techniques needed to help you shop and plan.
