When I booked this trip to New York I was looking forward to seeing the Thanksgiving Parade but it wasn't until we got here and I looked up the route map that I realised we merely had to look out of the apartment window for a prime view- yay!

Today I get to do one of my favourite things with some of my favourite people- that is walk the High Line with Marcia and Mark DeCoster and Mr Jean Power.

I am very fortunate to have a lovely group of friends in New York and today was a beady get-together with them and it was great to see different people's interpretations of the designs from Geometric Beadwork and also Beadwork magazine.

For each of my last 3 trips to New York I had gone bead shopping with Suzanne Golden and Merle Berelowitz to a secret bead warehouse and this year I'm back there again- even though I don't think I've used all I've bought on my previous trips.
