My recent visit to Hawksmoor reminded me just how much I love the lines and styling of Art Deco combined with dark malachite green and black so I decided to use those inspirations in my newest bead embroidery project.

The weather is beautiful and our local park has a football festival on with kids from 5-17 playing, so we took advantage and spent a lot of today sitting in the sun watching.

A trip out today to see one of my nieces sing and then afterwards we needed to go somewhere for dinner. Well memories of my amazing meal at Hawksmoor the other day were still strong and wouldn't you know it, Hawksmoor Spitalfields was only a few minutes away...

...after the art exhibition we went onto Hawksmoor Air Street which is the most wonderful restaurant, not only for its excellent food and drink, but also for its atmosphere and beautiful art nouveau green & black decor with a hint of wood.

After the weekend of guests I now have new ones in the shape of my parents over to see us and visit the Royal Academy Summer Exhibiton so today i got to take a day off and go out with them for an overdose to all my senses.
