Geometrics And Patterns

I'm back to my geometric beading and working on a new bangle with the colours of my previous one reversed.

I was delighted today to discover (thank you Mr Jean Power!) that Habitat, one of my favourite shops for colour and pattern, have opened a mini-branch near me. So off I headed to peruse their wares and was pleased to come home with a colourful cushion and a bargain print of a Hackney tower-block by Oscar Francis that reminds me of my childhood growing up there.

I'm always pleased to discover new artists whose work I like and Oscar Francis is one of them. All that colour and pattern depicting modern houses is right up my street. They even have a print of 1-2 Willow Road which I fell in love with a few years ago as well as items based on the postcode I grew up in and buildings I lived opposite as a child.
