Fortnum & Mason is one of my favourite places to visit, not just for their shopping, incredible food and great cooking courses & food lectures but for their building and artwork.

I recently had a lovely tour and was happy to visit a couple of evenings ago for a panel talk about 'The Art of Fortnums' which covered a wide variety of areas such as packaging, catalogues, advertisements, window displays and more.

It was really interesting to learn how they reference and appreciate their history but do so with a modern eye (and often a lot of whimsy) and use artists and craftspeople throughout.

If you've never been I really recommend it as you can wander and spot so much artwork and glorious detail all around, and if you can nab a spot on any of their events or one of their always sold-out tours I really recommend it.
