When an English sunrise becomes something different...
I love nothing more than seeing the wonderful creations people make following classes with me or using my books or patterns etc and I especially love when they step out from the colours I used (which I always include) and create something with their beadwork inspired by a vision they had.
My original Horizon pieces were inspired by the sunrises & sunsets I see off the coast of Cornwall but, as you can see in these photos small changes make a big different to the end result.
Clockwise from top left: Marianne M. in NY created a piece full of greenery & texture with the sun rising above a more mountainous view than mine, then Marion beaded a stunning moon against a starry night sky and Nancy recreated a colourful sunset more local to her from a beautiful photo she took.
I've also seen what I envisioned as a sun beaded as a colourful flower so never be afraid to add your own interpretation and I'm more than happy to help you bring that vision to life.
Do you have a sun, moon or flower in mind which would suit this project?
My Horizon class is an intermediate to advanced project and participants must be comfortable with Peyote Stitch and small beads.
Full written instructions, as well as online videos (which you can watch any time even long after class) are included for you.
A full requirements list will be sent when you book (including the details of the colours I used)
If you're not a virtual class person then don't worry; the project includes detailed written instructions plus online videos you can watch at any time (and as many times as you wish; they're yours to watch forever online!) so you don't even need to attend the class if you don't want to.
This 2-session class will run on Thursdays 6th & 20th August 2026 at 6pm UK time which is more suitable for UK/ Europe and North American time zones
