Paris 2025 - Day 1

posted: Tuesday, 25 March 2025

I've travelled to Paris to try to cram in as many exhibitions (and good food & shopping) as I can in a few days and today began with a wander around (where I was delighted to see this colourful Bouquet of Tulipes by Jeff Koons) before a trip to the beautiful Maison Diptyque store and then onto the main reason for our visit - The Dolce & Gabbana 'Du Cœur À La Main' (from the heart to the hand) exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris which was almost indescribable.

It's the most unbelievably sumptuous feast for your senses with hundreds of amazing costumes & accessories plus sounds & smells all beautifully curated & staged in incredible surroundings to dazzle you from start to finish.

It was an overload of hand skills with so much detailed embellishment, embroidery & beadwork with each piece exquisite in its own right but brought together in one place it made for an incredible few hours of wandering and soaking it all in.

This has already been to Milan so if it ever comes anywhere you can travel to I can't recommend it enough (I had to go to another country to see it and it was absolutely worth it).
