Facebook reminded me today that incredibly it's 5 years since Rivoli Beadwork came out!

I'm really proud of this book, and my other self-published ones, as I was able to not just write the whole book but design its layout and style it in what I hope is the best way to use it.

Another joy of doing your own book is that you're not beholden to anyone else's rules. So if you think a project needs 8 pages rather than the 4 they would like it given you can give it that many pages, and conversely if you think it just needs 2 pages you can give it that and use the extra pages to add more projects - heaven!

I snuck out to decorate some gingerbread cookies today and despite the practice realised that icing is not one of my skills... but they still tasted great.
