Layered Triangle Pendant

The two types of beading I love doing are geometric beadwork and anything with some sparkle so when I get to combine the two in a way that visually appeals to me I'm so happy!

This 'Layered Triangle Pendant' from my Rivoli Beadwork book is the perfect example of that.

I love letting the simple shape of the beads and the geometry of the beadwork be the star of the show without being overwhelmed or distracted from with oodles of other beads or beadwork.

But then sometimes I can't resist adding some subtle sparkle...

One thing I like about this project is that though it stands on its own as a piece of jewellery, it can also be the start of a journey to something much bigger.

Anything you've ever made from 'flat triangles' can be made from these triangles and that opens up a while world of creativity... now I just need to find the time to explore that.

But if you've bought the book you know I've included lots of instructions, ideas & inspiration to start you using these ideas & designs with your own creativity.

I also really adore this colour combination with the metallic yellow shining out from the beadwork like a ray of sunshine (and I'm pleased to say that each project in Rivoli Beadwork has all the colours of the beads I used included so you can use any of the colour schemes that speak to you in your beadwork).

This is just one of the many projects in the book and you can get your copy here.
