Photoshoot

Today is a photo-shoot for my new book so I got to spend hours and hours at a studio holding my fingers and hands in weird positions.

We worked hard to try and capture both what you would actually do as you worked and make it clear for the reader to see what was happening - not an easy task.

Next time you bead or do any wirework have a look and see if you can even see any of what you're working on or if it's held tightly in your hands with your working area hidden by fingers and thumbs. I know that's how I work!

So a lot of the day was spent trying to figure out for each individual step the best way to show it and make everything as clear as possible. The idea is if the photographer and art director can work out what I'm doing, and how a technique works, from what they see in the photos and not seeing the text or having any experience we're doing a good job.
