Bead Embroidery Class 2013- Day 2

posted: Tuesday, 06 August 2013

Today began with everyone finishing their sampler (I guess finishing is the wrong word as these can be an ongoing poject) and then beginning their bead embroidery bird measuring tape cover, or, as I like to call him (or her, there was much discussion over the week as to which he was) Furtive Fowl (making your own piece is available as a class in Dorset this November).

Annoyingly we had someone in the room next to us who insisted on working on her sewing machine for 2 days straight with her door open. When we asked her if we could close the door, as it was causing headaches for people in our room and they couldn't take it for 5 days, her response was to shout at us. Why do some people insist the World revolves around them?

She had no concern about the disruption to us, especially ridiculous was that her own class didn't want her in there as she was too noisy but as we were mere students and not studying for City & Guilds it was decided it was fine for us to listen to her. She may pass her City & Guilds but she's definitely failed the being a decent person class. May all her stitches unravel and her bobbins forever tangle.
