The 5-day bead embroidery class I'm teaching began today with everyone making their own sampler of stitches. This is a great way to learn the basics, warm up to the subject and begin playing with colour, beads, texture etc ready for the rest of the week. It's also a fab reference to take home and refer to when you need inspiration or a reminder of things you can do.
When in Canada at BeadFX I bought this colourful fish leather and pendant which I've been itching to use together and so began a cuff with them today. By using sequins and letting the leather show through I finished the whole cuff very quickly.
