A Magical Evening

Another day, another thing to learn.

Every since I was young and used to watch Paul Daniels on TV I have been interested in magic. I even got one of his magic sets for Christmas one year and I remember practising the tricks, all of which I was hopeless at.

So when I got the opportunity to go for a magic lesson at Davenports Magic Shop I leapt at the chance.

The two hour lesson covered card tricks, coin tricks and even ball disappearing tricks. It was all a lot more fun that I thought it would be and though I am in no way a natural at performing I did really enjoy it.

Directly opposite the shop was this amazing looking place. It wasn't obvious if it was a bar, or a wine merchants, but the sign intrigued me. Unfortunately it looked shut down (though it was hard to tell as you couldn't see in the windows) and a search on the internet when I got home revealed The Tappit Hen is sadly long closed. What a shame, it looked like the perfect place for an assignation or a meeting of spies.
