Spirals And Triangles

posted: Friday, 24 June 2011

There was a time when it felt like all I beaded were spirals, specifically variations on spiral rope.

I loved beading this and delighted in coming up with different variations and ways to alter the look of it. You can see some of the pieces I beaded here, here, here, here and here. That's about 10% of the ones I beaded!

I recently decided to look again at all my pieces and finally work on instructions for them all. Fortunately I had written much of it all down so it is mainly a matter of reading through all I wrote and updating all the diagrams (I am pretending this is a small job but I can see anywhere between 50 and 100 diagrams on my near horizon!).

I plan to begin selling the instructions as soon as they are done so keep an eye out for details of that, and wish me luck not getting lost in a maze of spiral diagrams!

I am also working away on a new project using triangles. This has been in development for more years that I would like to think ( I began it in September 2006- wow). Up until now I haven't turned my samples into a finished project as I couldn't decide exactly how to finish it, or whether it was to be a necklace or a bracelet. I think I have finally worked out the former (well, there are 3 possibilities going through my mind) and decided on the latter. So keep even more fingers crossed that I can manage to finish this project within the next 79 days and get it done in under 5 years!

Oh, and if you like colour, books and organising you'll love this stop motion video. If you want to see some more colour based ones have a look at my Colour Challenge blog.
