I'm back in London, out of my sick bed and so it must be time for cocktails!

Fortunately it's the May meeting of The London Cocktail Society and this months it's at the lovely Callooh Callay as they're launching their new summer menu- not only new food and drinks but literally a new graphic comic inspired menu.

I have been working (a bit) hard on getting better with my photos (one of my new years resolutions- except I'm still terrified of my fancy camera so am still using my 'point and click' one) and I like to think these events are a good learning opportunity as I try to take close-up photos with low-light. Of course I might ruin this illusion if I was to tell you my camera was on the 'auto intelligent' setting...

But still, I must be learning something- look at that fab photo! 

I have also learnt today that I can even upload larger photos to my blog (I did probably already know this but forgot). So if you see the little magnifying glass icon it means you can click for a larger photo. So, click on the drink photo, check out the contrast between the black background and the orange garnish. Then wonder at the condensation captured on the outside of the glass. Then decide whether I deserve any credit for it or does the camera get all the glory?
