Chain Maille Finally Done

posted: Saturday, 11 December 2010

Today is my first day out of bed and out of the house and I am teaching one of my Chain Maille Chains classes.

I love teaching this class and seeing all that everyone creates over the course of the day. Today the class whizzed along and I even managed to get some time over lunch to finally get to do one of those projects which has been on my "to-do-list" for years.

I originally made this bracelet around four years ago and after a while it was too big on me, and ever since it has sat there taunting me waiting to be made smaller.

I had delayed doing it as not only is the chain I used complicated, but I made the bangle seamless and also used two jump rings in each space- hardly a recipe for quick and easy!

So today I decided to bite the bullet and shorten it by an inch or so- and you know what- it took all of 2 minutes! All those years of not being able to wear it because I was too nervous and there was no need. Lesson learned, class taught, it was back to bed...
