Chain Maille Chains Class
A day spent learning how to make these beautiful chains using jump rings.
Ideal as pieces of jewellery by themselves, or embellished with beads, the chains can also be used for straps for bags or purses.
As well as covering the basics of chain maille, the day will consist of exploring six different chains and many variations on them. The chains we cover are:
- Loop in loop
- Twisted/ flower chains
- Clover-leaf (this is a chain invented by me and therefore not available elsewhere)
- Byzantine
- Box
- Plus a surprise one as a reward for the end of the day!
We will also look at different ways of using the chains and combining them with other bead or wire-work.
The class includes:
- A booklet covering all you will have learnt on the day
Please note:
- No experience is necessary to attend this class.
- Jump rings are the only supply you need for the day and I will have a range of these for sale, starting at just £1 a bag.
- Tools are available for your use on the day-you can turn up with nothing!
