Wax, wax and more wax.
I am done with rings now and spend the morning finishing up a pendant I started yesterday afternoon.
This is based on a medal I made last year and will feature the same tree motif and words on its back.
This is what I really want to make after the class, so I’m pleased to be able to experiment with making flat, double-sided items.
Once my pendant/ medal is all carved, I have some time to play round so focus on carving some 3D shapes which will become charms.
The first is a roller skate and of course my mind goes blank on how mine actually look there’s a lot of artistic license used!
The second charm is a double-sided one with a star to represent some of my beadwork on one side and a simple bead motif carved on the other.
