Back to work playing with wax today and I start with more rings.

I have decided to make a set of three rings which can be worn together or individually.

The idea is that they will be worn with the points over to the side and that you can arrange them in different ways according to the look you want.

I am a big fan of a plain look in jewellery so wanted to leave them unembellished and just oxidise one of them but no, my teacher won’t allow this!

He says it’s too plain and insists I play around with decorating the surfaces. So we reach a compromise and I agree to decorate one side of each ring so they can still be worn with the plain side showing.

But he’s not happy and I end up also having to add in a hole on the side of each one which he feels gives it more interest- hmm, I’m not sure.
