Sacred Star is a beaded ornament/ decoration which sits on its own specially designed stand which can be used to display it all year round.
This class, which included detailed written instructions as well as online videos showing the whole project being beaded (which you can watch at any time) teaches you how to make it plus variations.
The individual components which make up the main body of the piece can also be used to make jewellery.
Sacred Star was inspired by the large (7.5m diameter) glass star which was lifted atop one of the towers of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona in 2021 with the 12 beaded star points reflecting the shape of the original and even the beadwork texture designed to combine the stars geometric shape along with the rough surface finish which is purposefully added to the stone blocks used in real life.
The optional stand was designed to reflect the shape of the tower top which holds the star and uses a geometric beadwork technique to create a framework which is both beautiful & practical
The finished Star is approximately 11cm/ 4½ inches across at its widest point and when sitting on the stand is 12cm/ 4 3/4 inches tall.
A full requirements list for the projects (which use Peyote & Brick Stitch) will be sent once the class is booked but the general requirements are:
