Virtual Zoom Beading Class - Memories of Kew Masterclass - Group 2

This is a 3-session class suitable for afternoon/ evening UK/ Europe and daytime North America. You can find a class more suitable for morning UK/ Europe & afternoon/ evening Southern Hemisphere here

-This is a 3 session course (each session is 4 hours long including a break) virtual Zoom beading class which will be run via the Zoom app and if you'd like to attend you will need will need to have a device audio (i.e. an iPad, iPhone or other smart phone, laptop or desktop computer) and have downloaded the Zoom app in advance of the class (the app is free and you don't need an account to attend).

-Please note that virtual classes are just like in-person ones, it is your responsibility to be able to attend, but if you have any questions just contact me
- Class bookings are per person and if you would like multiple people to join they each need to book a place
- The level of this class is intermediate upwards - you must be very comfortable with Peyote, Brick & CRAW Stitches. If you have any questions about the level of the class then please do just contact me before you book

'Memories of Kew' is a joint master class with Jean Power & Stephanie Burnham.

Combining advanced geometric & floral beadwork, and throwing in shaping, structure & texture, this striking beaded vessel also comes with matching jewellery.

We united our two projects ('Garden Days' and 'Water Lilies at Kew') to create a set of beadwork evoking the many lovely days we have spent together at Kew gardens.

The series is formed of a beaded vessel created using unique techniques (all of which will be covered in the class and accompanying videos) topped with a striking beaded water lily which has coordinating jewellery which can be stored in the vessel.

Depending on the lid beaded the Vessel is approximately 10 ½ cm/ 4 ¼ inches tall and across at its widest point.

A limited number of kits are available direct from the teachers and details of these along, with a full requirements list for the projects (which use Peyote & Brick Stitch plus Cubic Right-Angle Weave) will be sent once the class is booked but the general requirements are:

  • Size 11 Cylinder beads (110g+)
  • Size 15, 11 & 8 Miyuki seed beads
  • 12mm Rivolis
  • Beading thread & needles

This class will be run over 3 sessions (each 4 hours including a 30-minute break).
The dates are:

  • Saturday 4th October
  • Sunday 5th October
  • Saturday 11th October

The 4-hour classes will begin at these times:
