'Inspired by Ikebana' is a set of projects from myself (my Meraki series) & Stephanie Burnham which mix geometric, crystal & floral beadwork to create a striking vessel with beautiful beaded flowers.

There are 2 dates for this event (2nd-4th November 2026 and 6th-8th November 2026) and you can register for one of your choice or both of them.

Both Jean & Stephanie love the style of Ikebana, which is a form of flower arranging based on using harmony & minimalism for beauty. They love the way the practice combines flowers, foliage & inanimate objects to bring life to an arrangement and took their inspiration from this.

But, of course, as beaders working with tiny glass beads with needles & thread, rather than living flowers, they added their own interpretation and combined their loves to produce a new set of projects by adding their own unique, beaded twist on the idea
