About once a year I convince myself that if I just try again I'll be able to knit. Yesterday was that day. It was hardly surprising when I was surrounded by hundreds of balls and hanks of tempting yarn at Glen Gallery Crafts.

This weekend is my parents' Ruby wedding anniversary so a trip over to France to celebrate it with them was in order. The weather has been appalling recently but as we headed down the motorway we were blessed with the clouds parting and the sun shining.
