I flew back to the UK on Saturday night and was home by Sunday afternoon and ever since I have been answering emails and fitting in some beading.

It's almost time for me to head home to cold London. Reading about the fountains in Trafalgar Square freezing whilst I'm sitting here in the sun nursing my sunburn just makes it even more surreal.

It's still very warm and I'm still tired so today is pretty much like yesterday except for a visit to a restaurant for a wood fired pizza and a mozzarella ball as big as a baby's head.

When I packed to come to Malta I was expecting cold and rain (the weather forecasts are still telling us to expect that every day but fortunately they're very wrong) and today I gave in and visited the shops to buy some less wintery clothes

Today we left the island of Malta to visit its neighbour- Gozo.

When, months ago, my parents mentioned they were going to Malta for a week with one of my sisters and my niece it wasn't long before I asked if we could tag along with visions of beaches and sunshine filling my brain.
