The other day we were foiled when we tried to visit Park Güell so some of us headed back there today, on a free day, and I'm so glad we took the time as its a beautiful place to visit.

A drizzly start to the day as we headed off to the beautiful medieval city of Girona where we wandered the streets and walked the city walls and learnt about its incredible history.

A day off today but some of us have booked extra tours and mine is to the Costa Brava and it begins with a visit to the beautiful clifftop Marimurtra Botanical Gardens at Blanes.

Today begins with a rainy visit to beautiful Montserrat to see the Abbey and museum where I enjoyed getting to see some more work by an artist who is new to me and I've been introduced to on this trip; Josep Maria Subirachs.

An early start today for some wandering the shops before out group plans and after a visit to the food market for some fresh fruit ice lollies we headed to Ganiveteria Roca which is a scissor & knife shop founded in 1911.
