A trip to Kew Gardens today to see their orchid festival and be inspired by the beautiful shapes and colour on display, before being caught in a crazy hailstorm. I guess Storm Doris is still hanging around.

I'm working on a new variation of a project to test the instructions and have beaded 24 little triangles all ready to zip together and form the 3D shape.

The weather is still amazing for February so we took advantage of it and had a few hours away from work to do a bit of geocaching which is a great way to discover your local area and even find amazingly coiffured trees and hedges.

It was so sunny today, and stayed light until gone 6pm which it hasn't done for many months, so I'm celebrating the approach of summer by cracking open the rosé - I'm nothing if not optimistic!

Off into Central London this evening to see The David Hockney exhibition at the Tate Britain (and not the Tate Modern as I imagined leading to a mad dash across London in a taxi to get there before it closed...).
