David Hockney At The Serpentine

I've written so many times before about my love of the work of the artist David Hockney and I try to go to see every exhibition featuring his work that I can.

Sadly this wonderful artist died in June and it made my visit to the wonderful free exhibition of his work at The Serpentine Gallery in London all the more poignant and speaking to others there it seems that the feeling has been felt by many visitors and staff alike since his death.

I've never known an artist able to work in so many mediums which have been used in so many ways and his embrace of technology and art made on his iPad was like no other.

This exhibition had some portraits but was mostly sweeping outdoor scenes full of colour and nature.
