I was delighted last week at the 'Marie Antoinette Style' exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum to see a beautiful scallop-edged piece of porcelain from one of her serving sets commissioned in 1784.
It is this scallop-edged decoration which inspired by recent Smerlata series of beadwork which you can see in the photos shown here (along with the piece I saw).
This series is an intermediate class which combines sparkle & geometric beadwork for a versatile component and has a very-limited number of spaces left on just a few of the currently scheduled dates.
In this class, which includes online videos you can watch at any time showing the whole series being beaded, you'll learn how to make the component and the detailed instructions & videos cover all the different variations shown and more…
The 2 x 3-hours (with a 15-minute break) class is on different days of the week & months and at multiple different times to cover all time-zones so hopefully one will work for you.
