I grew up around a lot of wax print fabric and adore its colours, patterns & symbolism and love to see the use of it in traditional and contemporary clothing.

So I was excited to visit an exhibition on it at Musee De L'Homme in Paris so I could see lots and learn more about it.

The show was great and I enjoyed seeing the modern clothes and the historical photos using it and to read so much about it but it left me wanting more.

I wanted more fabric- I have friends with much larger collections of it than was in the whole exhibition!

So whilst I loved it I wish they'd shown more - this is fabulous fabric which is often neglected and needs to be shown off & highlighted more.
