Paris 2025 - Day 4

More exhibits today with first up being a visit to the 'With Gold Thread' exhibition which is to put it simply, dazzling.

Along with the many incredible pieces to see (covering hundreds of years including fragments of fabric from over 1,000 years ago and stunning modern pieces from Quo Pei) there was so much to read and learn about the use of gold and golden threads (made in lots of different ways) throughout history.

Add in lots of beautiful embroidery samples and enough sparkling embellishment everywhere you look and this was truly a wonder.

After a lovely boat trip down the Seine we headed to the Dior Gallery which is a wonder to behold with not just an incredible archive of Dior works (costume & jewellery) but displayed beautifully including the incredible staircase & wall cabinets of miniature which you could stare at for days!

It was a joy to visit and get to see so much incredible work up close and within the crowds that the London V&A exhibition (quite rightly) had.

You can see hundreds of other photos & videos in my Instagram or Facebook highlights if you click either of those links to get to my bios and then view the different 'Golden Thread' and 'Dior Gallery' highlights you'll find there.
