A real treat to visit the Van Cleef & Arpels - Poetry of Time exhibition and enjoy a private tour of all the stunning pieces on show and be completely dazzled by the beauty & creativity on display.

During the tour we got to see the beautiful 'Awakening of the Cyclamen' automata open, watch miniature lovers kiss on a miniature bridge, view tiny ballerinas dance, gaze at minute planets travelling through space, see flowers open to reveal their diamond centres and butterflies flit through fluttering leaves, plus so much more.

This really is a wonderful showcase, not just of the stunning finished pieces, but also the ingenuity and skill of the craftspeople involved- I left absorbed by the incredible feat involved in bringing these ideas to life.

After the tour I got to listen to a truly informative talk from L'Ecole School of Jewellery Arts about the history of flowers in jewellery which covered so much more than that.
