I never need much excuse to bead a new BeJewels… they're very addictive!

Someone mentioned them in a class last week and so today I couldn't resist starting some more (you can find the written pattern here or videos & the written pattern here).

I previously made lots of them with some matte Bicones (which I adore) but had to get them as a special coating and import them especially. So I was really pleased to discover that Preciosa make them too (in lots of colours) and get some from Spoilt Rotten beads (search 'preciosa bicones' or 'matte bicones' on their site to find them).

These are great when you want that pop of colour but in a different way- the coating lets the colour come through and some have an AB coating on them to add that extra visual texture which is pretty irresistible.

I'm loving mixing Swarovski & Preciosa in my work and am really happy they seem to be completely interchangeable… but I definitely need to stock up on more of these Bicones…
