A lovely time yesterday as The Ukrainian Museum of Canada have just launched a new exhibition 'The Spirit of Beads: Sharing our Stories' and they had their launch virtually.
It was wonderful to hear more about the Museum, their work, the beadwork on show, the history of the beadwork and some of the artists involved.
The show focuses on 'the similarities and differences in in techniques, motifs, and symbolism among the many types of traditional Indigenous and Ukrainian Beadwork'.
It also explores the trade in, and origin of, many beads from the past to the present.
