Creatives, Cruises & Colours

This tweet from Daniel Holland AKA DannyDutch perfectly captures my creative process.
Each time I design something new I am first so full of doubt (when it doesn't go how I want it) and then so full of enthusiasm (when it works).

Then the realisation that I have just embarked on another 20+ hour beading extravaganza always hits me, and I wonder why I chose beading rather than card-making where I could be onto the next thing in a minute.

But I take one look at the sparkling beads and remind myself that I will soon have a lovely piece of jewellery.

Nevertheless the lure of the new, and the temptation to put what I'm working on aside and start the next thing, is very strong. And I don't always resist... hence the huge pile of unfinished pieces I have sitting around just waiting for me to return to...

But most of the time I do persevere and today Facebook reminded me of this post from a year ago and I'm pleased that very soon I'll be revealing just what those beautiful crystals turned into.

In other news I'm delighted to be teaching on a Beadventures cruise next year and am working away on a new project just for it. So, if you fancy a 17-day transatlantic cruise with 6-days at sea with a multi-day beading class and lots of fun & chat then be sure to sign-up.
