A visit today to another of my favourite places on Earth - Porthleven.

We began with a wander around and a trip to a fish restaurant for delicious fish soup & bread before a trip to an amazing pub with a tiered beer garden with a great view of the sea.

As we stood and looked around we saw people begin to jump into the sea and it looked so tempting but of course we hadn't brought our costumes...

Plus, as much as I love swimming in the sea, I'm absolutely petrified of deep water and always want to be able to touch the ground and this didn't look possible here...

But, after debating just diving in in our underwear, we looked for somewhere to buy costumes and came across someone who would hire us wetsuits...

So, before I knew it we were changed and (after lots of false starts from me as I lost my nerve and made like Wile E. Coyote running in the air trying to get back to solid ground) we were jumping in and swimming in beautiful open water watching school-kids dive from the cliffs and loving every second.
