When I agreed to this cycle ride I was told there was 2 long days and then after that it got quicker. So far we've done over 38 miles each day and today is expected to be...42 miles. Hmm.
But again when you get to see beautiful views like these then it's worth it completely.
All of the morning seemed to be uphill but that needs to be done so you can have the fun/ terror of breaking the speedy limit racing downhill afterwards.
We also came across the Caen Hill flight of locks which is a beautiful feat of engineering and a joy to behold.
Then it was onwards to Bath where we had a date with the Roman Baths and the spa where we spent hours in the pool and saunas easing our aching muscles.
