Chicago 2017 - Day 3

A lovely day teaching my Tetra Star class at City Beads today. As always it's great to catch-up with old friends & meet new people and to see all the colour choices everyone makes.

After class we headed to the Ravinia Music Festival where I got to see, and hear, Pinchas Zukerman and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra playing Elgar (Chanson de nuit and Chanson de matin), Mozart (Violin Concerto No. 3) and Tchaikovsky (Symphony No. 4). I have never been to a live symphony, nor listened to much classical music, but this evening has changed all that. It was truly wonderful. The music was beautiful and completely enthralling and absorbing.
