I had heard of Beads of Courage but until yesterday hadn't realised it was also in the UK. One of the friends I met for lunch, Marlene Minhas, is a lampworker and has been busy making beads which are given to children with cancer during their treatment.
You can give directly to the cause to fund beads, or find a lampworker who is making some and support them. Marlene has been busy making face and alien beads and I fell in love with this little 'penguin alien' one so couldn't resist buying him as well as supporting her to make some more.
