Escape to Paris

Some days you just have to escape and today was one of those days where I grabbed my passport and headed for the port.

Ok, it wasn't quite like that, and it was more work-based, but inside that's how it felt, and it was just what I needed.

Knowing that Kate McKinnon would be on the same continent as me was more than enough to convince me to head to Paris to see her. Add in Doriot Lair and Joyce Rooks and who could have resisted the trip?

There are so many things I could write about the escape-from the food I ate, to the things we saw and many things along the way, but to be honest my main memory will be the pleasure of relaxing and spending time with three beautiful, clever, Worldly, funny, welcoming & hospitable women. That was just the injection of greatness that I needed in this busy, sad, stressful time. It was a reminder of all that is good in the World and that surrounding yourself with good people is the greatest cure-all there is.

If you want to know what we actually did, then read Kate's blog from here, if you want to see photos I took see here.

I need to sleep and reminisce.
