Today is my last day teaching and what fun we have!
The day is based in pentagons and personally I love these. It seems as although so many people bead geometric triangles, the pentagon is a poor, neglected shape. It doesn't lend itself easily to designs, has an odd number of sides (so it's hard to create straight runs or tessellate) and I guess this is why I love it- it's the under dog of shapes.
Unfortunately it's also that bit harder to learn and perfect...but we all got there in the end.
During class today I treated myself to some of Claudia's irresistible crystals and promptly came up with a way of showing them off without distraction- now I just need to write the project up.
After class it was time for a chat, a drink and a pizza to unwind and enjoy the sunny evening.
If you want to learn how to bead your own pentagons then I have a video workshop you can purchase on DVD or as an instant download at Interweave. Or I have a pattern here or they will feature heavily in the new book.
