After teaching beaded ropes for a week recently I guess it's my just desserts to have to bead one of my own- 36 inches of twisted herringbone using Delicas in fact.
I love beaded ropes, I just find beading them such a pain.
This one was as much time in the experimenting and planning as it has been in the beading as I had a very specific look in mind. I wanted a rope that would have texture to it and more of a natural look, much like this felled tree I photographed recently.
By using 2-drop with a twist in the rope I think I got the look I was after.
