Some days as I write my blog I feel I have pages and pages that want to pour out of me and other days, such as yesterday, the words come harder.

Today I just want to put up this picture and toast Kate McKinnon, Gabrielle van Diepen, Dustin Wedekind, Jeroen Medema and Christina Vandervlist. Especially Kate. Especially Gabri.

Put simply the book feels like it's taken a lifetime to get here, and it's exhausting my brains, body & bones. At times I'm tempted to run away and live as a hermit leaving someone else to finish it.

But then I look at the page Kate has created (the password to which is being sent to everyone who has pre-ordered the book) and the work within, and am stopped in my tracks.

When I open my emails and see photos of my rickrack bangle with a deer crawling through it and Gabriella's wonderful rickrack, with photo taken by Jeroen, and I am so proud to be part of the project that I want to sob as my heart fills.

The rest of what I want to say I really have no words for but God is this book going to be worth it.
