It has been a crazy week and I was planning to work right through the night tonight but fortunately saw information about a Courvoisier event and decided to give myself a few hours off.
Last year I went to their Complete History of Food event so my hopes were high for this one, though I was a little apprehensive when I got an email asking me to bring along a piece of fruit with my name on it...
The theme of the event was to tell us all about Courvoisier and its ingredients and it took place at Victoria House in Bloomsbury Square (I think the highlight of the evening was getting to see the inside of such a wonderful building).
We enetred rooms filled with spices and one with a barrow-boy selling fruit. We sipped champagne cocktails before dancing at a ghostly party and sat in a speak-easy before being sworn into a secret society...
We never did find out what the fruit was for.
