Cornwall 2012-Day 3

posted: Monday, 14 May 2012

I started today all fired up to bead but had to have a day off after beading too much recently has hurt my finger. It sounds pathetic doesn't it? But I find when I bead I often use part of my ring finger to push the needle. It doesn't sound much, but doing it in the same spot hundreds, if not thousands, of times really starts to have an impact. Add in the numerous times when I jab my 'lateral nail fold' (thank you Google) and my finger is throbbing, sore and possibly infected. Last time I let it get this bad was three years ago in New York and my whole finger turned into an infected mess so this time I'm trying to learn from my mistakes and not bead for a day and see if it helps.

Instead I read, read and read. I have brought a pile of magazines, leaflets, newspapers and other printed material that I'm determined to get to the bottom of by the end of the trip.

Add in a trip to the pub and watching the approaching storm and it's a relaxing day all round.
