Colourful Crystal Wheels

Just to prove I don't just spend my life undoing knitting and drinking cocktails it's back to work today and some beading.

I first made the first of these beaded beads back in March and I am pleased to say that they were the result of laziness!

I have long loved the shapes of these crystal "doughnuts" but was struggling to find a way to use them. Over the years I have bought so many of them and one night I was determined to string some, except they wouldn't work how I wanted them to.

So I decided to give up and do some beading instead. But being far too lazy to go and get the beadwork I was currently working on, I instead just played around with what I had on my tray: these crystals and some size 15 seed beads.

A bit of experimenting later and these began to appear!

Over the past six months I have beaded about 30 of them in different colours and was really pleased to recently find the crystals in a whole new range of bold colours!

So, I am working away beading many more and they will be launched as a new limited-edition kit during October, so make sure you sign up to my newsletter to find out when and get the discount code.
