Some sad news to announce is that I have decided to step down as Editor of Bead magazine.
Issue 24 will be my last issue.
I have really loved the past 4 years (wow!) that I have spent on the magazine and it was always a pleasure being able to help put the beadwork and jewellery making being done in the UK on the map.
I have worked with some wonderful designers over the years and being able to bring those projects to print, as well as all the profiles I wrote and readers' work I was able to showcase, was a great experience which I feel privileged to have had.
It was a treat to work on a job which revolved around helping people get into beading and jewellery making and anyone who knows me will know this is something I have been passionate about for a long time.
I will continue to bead and be active in the bead world and I am looking forward to hopefully having more time to bead!
On a lighter note, I'm really pleased to be able to let you know that my Miriam Bangle (which I have blogged about quite a bit recently) has been accepted for the February/ March 2011 issue of Beadwork magazine.
